What Happened on this Day in LDS Church History?
On this day in 1805, Jonathan Browning was born in Bushy Fork, Tennessee. He was a blacksmith, inventor, and gunsmith. He was the inventor of the Harmonica gun, a sliding breech repeating rifle. Browning joined the church in Nauvoo, went west with Brigham Young, and later settled in Ogden. He was the ancestor of several Browning gun inventors.
