WHOTDILCH 20 October

What Happened on this Day in LDS Church History?
On this day in 1850, the Peteetneet (Pah-ti't-ni't), Utah was settled by James Pace. The town was renamed by pioneers, Payson, after its original pioneer settler. Pah-ti't-ni't was the Chief of the Tumpanawach band of the Utes. Pah-ti't-ni't is the Tumpanawach dialect name, Anglisized to Peteetneet (pronounced Paw-tee't-nee't).
