What Happened on this Day in LDS Church History?
On this day in 1996, President Gordon B. Hinckley dedicated the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. The temple dedication took a week and 27 dedicatory sessions. 38,000 people participated in the first three sessions of the dedication. Almost 680,000 people had attended the open house.
