What Happened on This Day In LDS Church History?
On this day in 1913, Joseph F. Smith dedicated the Seagull Monument in Salt Lake City commemorating the pioneer miracle of the seagulls.  In 1848 the seagulls rescued the saints from the crickets. Mahonri Mackintosh Young, the grandson of Brigham Young, was the sculptor of the Seagull Monument.
