What Happened On This Day In LDS Church History?
On this day in LDS Church History, in 1920, the 18th Amendment to the Constitution went into effect, prohibiting the manufacture, production, and sale of alcohol. President Heber J. Grant felt it was divinely inspired because it outlawed items in the Word of Wisdom.
