What Happened On This Day in LDS Church History?


On this day in LDS Church History in 1867, the Deseret Telegraph line opens connecting the saints in southern Utah with Church headquarters.

Cove Fort Telegraph Office

Part of the reason for building Cover Fort was to protect the telegraph line, a pony express stop and a stage coach stop.
