What Happened on this Day in LDS Church History?
On this day in 1887, the first
Relief Society, Young Ladies (Young Women's) and Primary were organized
in Canada. These were organized in the town of Cardston, Alberta,
Canada, home of the oldest temple outside the United States. The first
Relief Society President in Canada was Mary L. Woolf. The First Young
Ladies President in Canada was Zina Y. Card. The Primary President in
Canada was Sarah Daines.
